2011 Northeast Marketplace Ministry Award recipients announced at Christmastime
Being an on-fire Christian in a secular culture can be pretty challenging! We sponsor annual NORTHEAST MARKETPLACE MINISTRY AWARDS each Christmas Season for three reasons: (1) to encourage and exhort on-fire working men and women to "keep on keeping on;" (2) to encourage other working Christians by pointing out real-world role models who are seeking to be Christlike in their everyday worklives and career paths; and (3) to be a testimony in the public square by publicizing award winners.
This year's award recipients include:
Coalition for Christian Outreach, Pittsburgh PA (www.CCOjubilee.org), Sowing Seeds in Our Region. A college campus ministry that raises up and equips future leaders at work and communities.
Emilia Coppa, Owner, Emilia's Blessings, North Providence, RI, Most On-Fire Business Owner. A God-centered thrift shop founded by a single mom with a dream to be a blessing to others in need.
FaithCare Conference, Hartford CT (www.FaithCare.net), Most Helpful Event. This annual conference encourages and equips Christians in healthcare to be Godly at work.
Daniel Lagan, Northeast Director of Ministry Advancement, Iron Sharpens Iron, West Hartford CT (www.IronSharpensIron.net), Most On-Fire Manager. This nationwide equipping ministry for Christian youths, men and women impacts thousands of lives each year.
Joel Lagan, Commercial Lines, AIM Insurance Agency, Granby CT (www.AIMinsinc.info), Most On-Fire Employee. He's very passionate and diligent about integrating faith and work!
Liberty Corner Presbyterian Church, Liberty Corner NJ (www.LibertyCorner.org), Most Helpful Church. This church hosted the 2011 Called To Work Conference, and did a super job.
